DESIRED CHARACTER The Dark QueenYOUR AUDITIONPollux was a wildfire from the moment she was born. It was unsurprising, considering the reckless pair of wanderers she had been born to. Rylie, a burning red Sorraia as wild as the first horses and Ajax, a stallion driven half insane by his schizophrenia and anxiety. Rylie was drawn to his crazy ways, and after a few short meetings they were certain there was no other for either of them.
A mere month after fleeing together Rylie's belly began to swell; the first signs of their daughter's life. If they were wild things on their own, together they were true insanity. It was a wonder that Pollux wasn't accidentally aborted, Rylie and Ajax spent their days fighting anything that moved, sparring with one another, and racing across any open space they came across.
As it was, her mother never gained the weight necessary to sustain a healthy, strong foal, and Pollux was born early besides. She was small and flimsy, red with the wild stripes of her mother. Ajax's genes were not strong; the only visible place they shined through was in his daughter's eyes, light brown with a yellow-gold ring around the edge and bright flecks of green. Unbeknownst to her parents, Pollux had in fact inherited more than her sire's eyes. She was spared his crippling anxieties, but from a young age she had vivid hallucinations; voices whispering in her ears and visions of beasts that none other than herself could see.
Rylie convinced her it was a gift. She was a Goddess, the wild horses of long past were speaking to her, and she should always heed their advice. The young filly grew up with a strong loyalty and affection for the 'spirits' that guided her. Except they were not always kind.
"Mommy, Seriph told me to make you blind," she stated one day, looking up at her mother with cool confidence. She was nearly a year old now, and Rylie had been with Ajax for two years. It was obvious that the mare suffered from some sort of mental illness as well; she had grown accustomed to the 'gifts' of her mate and child, and with a second in her belly was constantly praying for another with the spirits to guide it.
"Then you must make me blind," was her response. Ajax, having lost more of his sanity with the birth of his first child, readily agreed. The mare let her daughter bite her eyes until there was nothing left but blood and empty sockets on her face.
It was not the first time Pollux's hallucinations had told her to harm those around her. At one time they had had another companion; a little shetland pony with Autism. "Daddy, the spirits told me we need to get rid of Carlyle," she had whispered, a vicious gleam in her eye. And so they had gotten rid of him, waking Rylie with the crunching of bone under hoof.
Several months after losing her vision, Rylie birthed a second foal; a colt whom Ajax named Apollo. The boy looked like a clone of his father, light gray and with far less barring than his sister and mother, and without her sight Rylie had been much less active. Apollo was strong in body, but weak in mind.
The boy had not been 'gifted' as his sister had, but his mother's constant prompting as to whether or not he was had led him to lie. He was a timid thing, eager to please, and he never left Rylie's side. But both Ajax and Pollux saw through him.
"Liar," Pollux hissed. "You can't see them, you can't hear them! They hate you, they want me to kill you!" It was something the filly often told her brother, and soon he was riddled with anxieties. Still, she never let her mother know that her son wasn't 'gifted', instead using his innate timidity and developing anxieties to create a servant for herself. Soon he grew thin, as he often forgot to eat; his coat was mangy and he carried his head low, always at Pollux's heels.
Ajax, though his mind was near gone, could see what Pollux had done to her brother. "The spirits told me to make him worth something. Mother would have stopped me, that's why they told me to blind her," she replied, smiling softly. "Now he can serve them, through me."
As she entered her third year, Pollux began to grow out of her initial scrawniness. She filled out and grew strong, developing her fighting skills by sparring with Ajax and picking on Apollo. Eventually her father told her it was time for her to leave them, there were greater things waiting for her.
For once, he was right. The insane stallion, now nearly as wasted away as his son, sent his two children away. They traveled for two years, a time which Pollux spent 'honing her gifts'. By the time she reached Riptide, her hallucinations were more vivid than ever, and near constant.
There was war in the lands, that much was obvious. She sought out both kings, crossing paths with Vitto first. He saw the insanity in her eyes, and when Apollo revealed himself the stallion was horrified. He drove Pollux away, taking Apollo into his ranks to shelter and protect him.
The mare was infuriated. Had he not seen her power?! The spirits had given her a gift, and yet he could not see! She was determined to get her revenge, and soon enough she encountered Hyde.
"Vitto is a greedy fool," she growled, eyes narrowing when he came up in conversation. "You say he took the mare you desire most, and he has taken my servant from me. He cannot see the power of our ancestors, and they want him punished for it!"

APOCALYPSE DESIRED CHARACTER Apocalypse for DARK QUEEN YOUR AUDITION
Do you hear that? The sound of the wind blowing hard and the sight of the snow falling quickly over the terrain. The sight of bare trees and the birds hiding away. No sight of a creature around this very place. Only the sight of a few buzzards flying over head as they followed a creature that you would never believe for them to follow ever. Seeing that they normally follow where death has happened to take away the scraps that other's drop upon the ground. In which case, is perfect for the equine that they are following over this very terrain.
Frame was solid in structure, every bit of her body was filled with muscle. Her blood ran red through her body and moved quicker and quicker as she moved over the terrain. Flickering her thorns around upon her skull as she took a deep breath of air. Feeling the coolness drifted into her lungs and slowly let her breath out and watched the hot steam rolled from her nostrils. Feeling her feathers move up and down back and forth as her massive frame cantered over the terrain.
The moon beaming down upon her figure. Showing every bit of muscle that was there in an rippling effect. Showing the dark painted back and the rest of her pelt shimmered in a golden coloration. Laces waving back behind her in an ebony combination with no mistake of white or gold within them. Lashing her banner back and forth at her sides as she looked over this place with chocolate globes. Trying to think of what kind of chaos she was going to bring to this very place.
Oh how the thoughts ran wild through her skull as she could see herself taking over a herd and crashing it to the ground. An then go and move onto another herd that wasn't from the darks. An then she saw the perfect sight that she could destroy right at this point. Allowing her figure to slow down as she watched this equine couple set there and rub all against one another. Snorting at the sight of what she was seeing. Seeing that they were of the light kind.
It was disgusting to see the sight of what was going on right before her eyes. So she knew she would have to go and break this up early. Taking her massive hooves and moving herself forwards before coming out of the shadow of the tree line and into the opening where the moon shone down on her a bit brighter. Grinning in an evil way while looking over the stag and then over to the mare. Slowing allowing her figure to move forwards.
Then she allowed her daggers to halt and look at them. Noticing they still have not noticed her. Her smile than widened upon her muzzle before she shifted forwards an pushed her way between the two of them. "Well. Well. Well. What do we have here? A couple of love birds that have come to the wrong place at the wrong time?" She said in such an icy tone as she looked over the two of them. Seeing the scared look upon the mare's face as she backed up. Knowing that this mare realized she was much shorter than Apoca was standing at.
An the stallion was just a couple point under her figure and was coming from up to Apoca with his chest poked out like he was going to do something about what was going on. "Go away. You bothersome mare." He snapped into her direction and all Apocalypse could do was die laughing into the stallions face. Though that just made things worse on their part. "Oh dear boy, I do not plan to go and leave just yet. If I leave now than I will drag your mare away with me and you will never get to see her. . .again." She purred evilly into the direction of the stag as she turned her skull slowly and looked over to the mare with a wink from her eye. "I know a couple boys that would love to pass her around." She laughed quietly while she turned her skull back over to the stag.
Apocalypse could see that this stallion was getting ticked off as his chestnut frame tensed up and pinned his thorns back upon his skull while he looked over her with disgust. All Apoca could do was laugh at the stag as she looked at him. Seeing him try and nod for the mare to go away, but the buckskin dam knew how to block her out of seeing just what the stag was doing. "Get out of my way and leave us be." He shouted towards her again with thorns pinned tighter upon his skull. "Phillip just go." The mare shouted towards her stag with a shaky tone. This made Apoca laugh harder than before she changed her look towards the stag and then to the mare. "Oh, but I don't think so. You are both now staying. . .Phillip. I can place you to go and set up for the youngster's to use you as target practice with their fighting training. An then your mare here will go along great with the breeding program." She said as she turned her head slowly and looked towards the mare.
Oh how she could smell the fear that was coming off of the two. Though she knew that the mare was going through the worst of it. It just made her laugh to see these two tremble right in front of her. Then her ears heard the mare starting to speak up again. "But you said you would let him go." Voice still shaky as she spoke towards Apocalypse. Seeing the sight of Apoca shake her head slowly shake her head back and forth with an evil grin there upon her muzzle. "That is right mare! You said I leave and you will not harm her. So you lie to us?" His words were finally snappy like towards Apocalypse. Though that just made her laugh again right towards the stag. "Oh how you must not know the mind of a Dark equine. We do not allow our words to always remain true, but you two will learn that soon. Now start moving that way now." She said as her face showed evil within her eyes and her thorns falling back. Head dropping down in the snaking position as she was ready to move these two to a herd so that she can trade it for a couple night stay some where.
She could see that the stag was not moving so she quickly whipped around on her hindquarter. Grabbing right onto the stag's mare. Allowing her teeth to pierce into the crest of this mare's neck and shoving her to the ground in one quick motion. Moving to where her hoof stood over the mare's throat as she than turned her eyes and glared at the stallion. "I told you to move now not stand there like a dumbass. If you don't move I crush her beneath my hooves." She snapped at the stag with her skull lowering and thorns pinned tight. Watching as the stag slowly began to back up from where he was. Hearing the mare crying from under her daggers as she watched the bronco with tear filled eyes. Noticing the stag wanting to stop and lunge forwards. So Apocalypse looked down for a moment and then back up towards the bronco. Lifting her dagger and slamming it many times into the mare's head. Hearing the cries coming from the stallions voice for her to stop, but she did not until the mare's sides quit moving.
Yes, this was bad, but this was also the only way that you can go and break a stallion to make him listen. Watching as he slowly began to fall down towards the ground in tears. Smiling as she gave a loud snort to the stag. Seeing that he was worthless at this point and she took her figure and moved past him. Seeing his body shakenly get up and head over to his dead mare. Making Apocalypse laugh while moving away from the two. She knew that they could be perfect, but the stallion had messed up the chance for them to live a life. It would not have been fun on his part, but at least they would be alive and moving around. Not one broke stallion near his dead mare. WORD COUNT One Thousand Four Hundred and Twenty-Five Words
